Recommended Setup
Using a dedicated machine for running CueCollab is highly recommended, especially in multi-user production environments.
The following system components have been tested in many productions for optimal performance:
- Computer: Apple Mac Mini M1 or better, with at least 16 GB RAM and 512 GB SSD
- Timecode interface: DOREMiDi MTC-20 or Rosendahl MIF-4
- Video capture device: Blackmagic Design UltraStudio Recorder 3G or AJA U-Tap SDI
Dedicated Machine

- Reliability: No interference from other applications during critical production moments
- Performance: All system resources dedicated to CueCollab and recording
- Stability: Reduced risk of conflicts or crashes from unrelated software
- Independence: The server remains available even when you and your laptop leave the venue
Alternative Configurations
Section titled “Alternative Configurations”While the recommended setup above has been extensively tested, CueCollab can work with various hardware configurations as long as they meet the system requirements.
You may substitute components based on availability and budget, but ensure they meet or exceed the minimum specifications outlined in the prerequisites.
