Edit Notes

A flat table view of all notes across all lists. Use the list filter in the toolbar to show only one department’s notes. The search bar filters across all columns.

Double-clicking a row opens the note editor.

The note content — the main field. What was observed, requested, or needs attention.

The timecode reference captured when the note was taken (HH:MM:SS:FF). Records the playback position at the moment the note was created, not when typing finished. Clearable.

The real wall-clock time the note was created (date and time). Set automatically by the Notepad; required for the Review module to link notes to recordings.

The scene or environment name active when the note was taken. Set automatically in the Notepad if environment data is available. Can be edited manually.

Who wrote the note. Required.

Which note list this note belongs to (e.g. Light, Sound, Stage). Available list names are defined in Admin → Show Setup. If a list name has since been removed from settings, it still appears here in parentheses.

The name of the person who resolved or actioned this note.

When the note was marked as done. Set automatically when marking done in the Notepad; can be edited here if needed.

A color flag for priority or categorization. Available colors: Red, Pink, Purple, Indigo, Blue, Cyan, Teal, Green, Lime, Yellow, Amber, Orange. Clearable.

Additional free-text content — often used to describe what was done when resolving, or to provide follow-up context.

Select multiple notes with checkboxes, then use Manage → Edit Selected. Fields showing “Multiple values” will not be changed unless you enter a new value. Any field you do fill in turns orange to indicate it will be applied — and is applied to all selected notes at once on save.

  • Import — imports notes from an Excel spreadsheet (same column format as the Notepad export)
  • Export — exports all notes (respecting the current list filter) to Excel
