Review
The Review module lets you watch back recordings from rehearsal directly in the app. Every note taken during a recording is shown alongside the video, positioned at the exact moment in the footage where it was written. You can add new notes while watching, resolve existing ones, and export the full note list when you’re done.
Layout
Section titled “Layout”The page is split into two areas:
- Left / main area — the video player
- Right sidebar — notes for the currently selected recording
Use the chevron button in the toolbar to show or hide the sidebar. Hiding the sidebar gives the video more room while keeping all toolbar controls and recording info still visible.
Selecting a Recording
Section titled “Selecting a Recording”The toolbar at the top contains filters to find the recording you want:
- Tags — filter by tags assigned to recordings
- Date — filter by the date the recording started
- Range — filter to recordings that were active during a specific scene/range
- Recorder — filter by device label (only shown if multiple recorders are connected)
- Recording — the main selector. Shows all recordings matching the current filters, sorted newest first. Each entry shows the title or filename, duration, and start time.
Use the ‹ and › icons beside the recording selector to step through recordings in order. Keyboard shortcuts Shift+↑ and Shift+↓ do the same.
Video Player
Section titled “Video Player”Standard playback controls are available. If the recording is still in progress, a notice is shown.
Notes in the sidebar show a timestamp chip (position within the video, e.g. 00:14:32). Clicking the chip seeks the video to that exact moment.
Notes Sidebar
Section titled “Notes Sidebar”Shows all notes written during the selected recording’s time window, sorted by their position in the video. Notes are grouped by scene/range headers.
Each note shows: timestamp chip (click to seek), list chip, author and time, view/remarks icon, flag button, and note text (struck through when resolved).
Notes can be filtered by list using the List selector above the sidebar. Double-click any note to open its detail view.
Adding Notes During Review
Section titled “Adding Notes During Review”Click Add Note in the sidebar toolbar (or press Shift+N) to create a note at the current video playback position.
The dialog pre-fills: timecode (from TC history at that video position), timestamp, author, and your last-used list and flag. You can edit all fields before saving. The >listname shortcut works here too.
Editing a Recording Entry
Section titled “Editing a Recording Entry”Click the edit icon (pencil) beside the recording selector to open the recording metadata editor. You can update the title, remarks, flag, and tags on a recording without affecting the video file itself.
Exporting Notes
Section titled “Exporting Notes”The ⋯ menu in the sidebar toolbar offers export options for the currently visible notes:
- Copy As Text — copies all notes to the clipboard in detailed plain-text format
- Copy As Summary — copies a compact one-line-per-note summary
- Download TXT — saves the detailed format as a
.txtfile - Download XLS — saves all notes as an Excel spreadsheet with full columns
All exports reflect the current filter state.
