Edit Ranges
Ranges define timecode-based scenes or sections used throughout the app: in the Review range filter, on the recording overlay (Range or Scene slot), on the Timecode Display duration countdown, and for note organization.
Range Editor Dialog
Section titled “Range Editor Dialog”Double-clicking a row opens the range editor.
Timecode (Start)
Section titled “Timecode (Start)”When this range begins. Required. Format: HH:MM:SS:FF.
Timecode (End)
Section titled “Timecode (End)”When this range ends. Optional, but required for the duration countdown in the Timecode Display to work. Format: HH:MM:SS:FF.
The scene or range name shown throughout the app — on the recording overlay, in the Review range filter, and on display pages. Keep this short and descriptive.
Filename
Section titled “Filename”An optional video filename associated with this range. When set, the Review module uses it to auto-select the matching recording when navigating to this range. The filename should match the actual recorded file name.
Update matching notes on timecode change
Section titled “Update matching notes on timecode change”When you change the Timecode Start of an existing range, a checkbox appears offering to automatically update all notes that reference the old timecode to the new value. This keeps notes in sync when you adjust when a scene starts.
Bulk Edit
Section titled “Bulk Edit”Select multiple ranges with checkboxes, then use Manage → Edit Selected. Fields showing “Multiple values” will not be changed unless you enter a new value. Any field you do fill in turns orange to indicate it will be applied — and is applied to all selected ranges at once on save.
Toolbar Menu (⋯)
Section titled “Toolbar Menu (⋯)”- Create Ranges from Cue-Blocks — reads all Block-mode cues and creates a range for each one, using the block’s timecode as start and cue text as name. Existing ranges are always overwritten without confirmation.
- Import — imports ranges from an Excel spreadsheet
- Export — exports all ranges to Excel
